As a professional basketball player, Malcolm continues his family’s legacy of advocating for social justice and equity through his work in advancing reform of the criminal justice system in the United States. The United States incarcerates more of its citizens than any other country in the world. Mass incarceration disproportionately impacts the poor and people of color.
For Malcolm, criminal justice reform is personal - as racial and socioeconomic disparities result in the disproportionate incarceration of poor and Black people in the U.S. Malcolm is committed to efforts that challenge and disrupt the systems that perpetuate these disparities and achieve criminal justice reform.
