DiVincenzo was recognized by Delaware Sportswriters and Broadcasters Association’s Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year in 2015 while playing high school basketball. He played two years of college basketball at Villanova. As a freshman, DiVincenzo was named to the Big East All-Freshman team and the Philadelphia Big Five Rookie of the Year and as a sophomore he was named the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player.
On May 29, 2018, DiVincenzo announced he would forego his final two years of eligibility at Villanova and declare for the NBA draft. DiVincenzo was selected with the 17th overall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2018 NBA draft.
